What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Specialist II position at Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies?
The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is seeking a Security Specialist II to administer and assure compliance with security regulations and procedures to include badging requirements in accordance with DoD guidelines. Directs and advises all departments regarding security regulations and procedures. Routinely interacts with Government agencies relative to security matters, for our customer located in Indian Springs, Nevada.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Train security personnel in the areas of document control, personnel clearance processing, and visitor control.
- Manage and maintain the classified document database.
- Manage and maintain the personnel clearance database.
- Ensure adherence to regulations for generation, transfer, storage and handling of classified materials.
- Responsible for operation and maintenance of security equipment, alarms, and access control system
- Assist, implement, complete, maintain procedures for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF).
- Plan and coordinate security services and related functions including the implementation and supervision of programs to ensure maximum utilization within the facility
- Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Associate degree in business administration or related field or equivalent combination of academic/technical/military training preferably related to personnel security.
- Must possess a state issued driver’s license.
- Must have or be able to obtain Industrial Security Management Certification
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Possess five (5) years’ experience in DoD security with two (2) years SAP security related experience.
- Familiar with operating application software, including word-processing and spreadsheet programs.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Active Top Secret Clearance
