What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Contracts Administrator position at Alakaina Family of Companies?
The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies is looking for a Senior Contracts Administrator to support our corporate operations located in Orlando, Florida.
The Senior Contracts Administrator coordinates highly complex contracts and creates subcontracts, and Independent Consultant agreements with minimal supervision. The position requires working knowledge and the ability to research business agreements, and government contracting methods, including policies, procedures, and regulations, to provide appropriate recommendations, identify and mitigate areas of risk to the company, and day-to-day contracting activities.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administers highly complex contracts through the appropriate procurement process.
- Administers IDIQ contracts inclusive of high-volume Task Order level responses.
- Provides cradle-to-grave contract and subcontract administration support for various CP, CPFF, FFP, T&M, LH, and IDIQ Government contracts in the services and research/development arena.
- Review modifications, extensions, and contract closeout documents.
- Demonstrate a strong working understanding of the USG acquisition and procurement environment, contract’s function, adherence to company policies, commercial contracting methods, export regulations, FAR/DFAR, and other requirements.
- Primary point of contact between the company and customer for contractual matters.
- Ability to work independently and successfully manage multiple projects with competing priorities and time-sensitive deadlines for various internal and external customers. Interface with Senior Leadership as needed.
- Perform and monitor all aspects of the contracts including accuracy of order entry data, contract funding, scope changes, amendments, account receivables, delivery schedules, etc.
- Prepares various agreements to include Consulting Agreements and Subcontract Agreements. Ensures all documentation is complete and accessible in the company repository. This includes the contract and all pertinent sign-off documentation and work papers as well as pertinent correspondence in letter or email format.
- Works well as part of a team. Comfortable interacting with co-workers of diverse cultures and personalities
- Assists in the development and compliance of internal contract administration policies and process improvement projects.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties
- Strong work ethic and ability to confidently make decisions quickly.
- Support ad hoc activities such as contract audits, CPARS, bid protests, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- BS/BA degree in Business or other related Business focused field of study.
- Years of experience in lieu of education will be considered.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Six to ten plus (6-10 ) years federal government contracting experience for Industry.
- Knowledge and experience working with FAR/DFARS, Fixed Price (FP), Time & Material (T&M), Labor Hour (LH), Cost Plus (CP), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ).
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in reviewing and negotiating terms and conditions in Government prime contracts and subcontracts to ensure terms are fair and reasonable, identifying risks to protect the company’s interests, and follow all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret and/or Top-Secret Clearance if/when required.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience supporting Native Alaskan Corporations (ANC) or Native Hawaiian Organizations (NHO).
- Familiarity with Small Business Administration (SBA) Programs including but not limited to 8(a) programs, HUBZones, Mentor Protégé/Joint Ventures, SDVOBs, etc.
- Experience providing mentoring and development to junior-level staff.
- 6 - 10 years of federal government contracting experience in services.
- Knowledge of ITAR/EAR, Service Contract Reporting, Deltek Costpoint, and SharePoint software tools
- Familiarity with Financial Reporting, such as creation and monitoring of Funding and burn rate analysis, pricing strategies, and the generation of labor category bid rates.
- Experience with various GWACS including but not limited to GSA IT 70 Schedules, GSA MOBIS, GSA STARS, CIO-SP4, GSA OASIS, C5ISR, OMNIBUS etc.
