- Directs the general and preventative maintenance for all company facilities, equipment, and property.
- Responsible for ensuring all company facilities are maintained at a high level of finish which supports the guest and employee experience and the value equation for our guests.
- Coordinates resources across the collection to ensure that seasonal locations open in a “guest ready” condition on opening day.
- Coordinates with Location GMs to ensure clear direction on all project plans, engineering and maintenance schedules, and work activities associated with maintenance are covered and operating smoothly.
- Directs maintenance department operations with all company staff, Location GMs, and Operating Directors & Managers.
- Establishes annual capital improvement budgets in collaboration with other staff and operating departments for Finance and VP-GM approval.
- Builds the maintenance department’s annual labor and operating expense budget and is responsible for achieving financial performance to budget and reforecast.
- Secures cost estimates or quotes for major maintenance and capital projects and summarizes for review and approval by management. Secures approvals and work permits for projects when necessary or required.
- Reviews and approves all material and maintenance equipment purchases, purchase orders, and invoices for outside contractor services and consultants.
- Develops maintenance staffing models to provide necessary and cost-effective support to the location staff and operating departments.
- Supervises the inventory of materials, parts, equipment, and tools needed to provide timely maintenance support and execution of maintenance and capital projects on time and on budget. Maintains necessary inventory controls of valuable materials and tools.
- Provides necessary training to maintenance personnel that ensures safe and effective performance of their duties. Ensures training is relevant and up to date in terms of construction trends, technology, and methods.
- Sources external architectural, engineering, and contracting services when needed.
- Ensures facilities, equipment, and departmental teams are operating in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations and codes involving guest, safety, building construction, and local jurisdiction restrictions and regulations.
- Assists in the administration of Promise to Place and other sustainability and energy conservation programs for the Glacier Park Collection.
- Ensures the structural safety, proper sanitation, preservation and fire protection of all properties and equipment.
- Ensures the ongoing testing and controls are in place to deliver clean water to guests and staff and to ensure any water & sewer regulations are consistently followed.

What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Experience Needed
- Minimum 5 years’ experience leading construction or building projects and teams.
- Business/construction management degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Experience in hotel engineering, construction management or large-scale building operations required.
- Ability to read blueprints, maps, and overall construction designs required.
- Experience developing and monitoring complex budgets, inventory controls and managing staff performance desired.
- Experience with large commercial laundry, HVAC systems, water purification, and/or fleet vehicle operations desired.
- Broad knowledge of general construction codes and safety regulations required.
