JOB TITLE: Clinical Research Coordinator- RN
DEPARTMENT: Clinical Services
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Clinical research coordinator is a nonexempt position responsible for acting as a research coordinator for clinical research trials.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to Clinical Research Manager
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Occasional stress from varying demands. Must be able to work independently. Must be able to lift/carry 25 pounds.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a busy office environment. Frequent contact with employees, patients, physicians and outside agencies. Occasional evening or weekend work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Adhering to ethical practice in the conduct of clinical trials, research protocol compliance and good clinical practice
- Manage care for patients participating in clinical trials and ensure protocols are followed
- Keep detailed records of all data obtained from patients
- Respond to emergencies and provide medical care as necessary
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

- Knowledge of medical research terminology.
- Demonstrate ability to multi-task; perform tasks within time frames assigned.
- Demonstrate schedule flexibility; adjust to shifting priorities; stay organized in a changing environment; stay focused during stressful or difficult situations.
Pay Range: $40-50/hr
INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications
Education:
Minimum: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing school
Experience:
Preferred: ACRP or SOCRA certified, previous experience with industry research
Certificate/License: Registered Nurse, BLS, ACLS
Salary : $40 - $50
