Medical Laboratory Substitute Instructor


Alexandria College is seeking Medical Laboratory Substitute Instructor for the Medical Laboratory Technician program. Hours will be as-needed during the academic year.


Responsibilities:

· Maintain professional NAACLS standards of practice in teaching in the classroom and lab settings.

· Facilitate effective learning and critical thinking while fostering a positive learning environment.                                                                                                    

· Monitor student progress with evaluations and assignments.


Qualifications:

Applicants must have two full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a medical laboratory technologist/scientist.


Medical Laboratory Technologist/Scientist certification by one of the following: American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), AAB Board of Registry (ABOR), or American Medical Technologists (AMT).


Minimum requirement of Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field and experience in teaching or mentoring. Position open until filled.
