Title: Human Resources Specialist – Talent Acquisition

Job Description:
Alger is seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to join Alger’s Human Resources team. This individual will play a crucial role in identifying, attracting, and onboarding key talent to Alger’s Operations and Distribution departments.
This is an important role for Alger to fill as this individual will be one of the first impressions of the firm; as such, the individual must be committed to a best-in-class candidate experience, be committed to excellence in their work and in the candidates they pursue, be experienced in recruiting and also open to receiving feedback, be a true team player.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Human Resources Specialist will lead lateral recruiting efforts for Alger’s Operations, Administration and Distribution departments
- Focuses on multiple levels of HR including but not limited to Talent Acquisition, reporting, campus recruiting, training and development, and onboarding
- Responsible for the full- cycle recruitment and candidate selection for assigned exempt and non-exempt positions
- Partner with hiring managers and key stakeholders executing day-to-day recruitment for open positions
- Manage relationships with 3rd party service providers such as search firms, advertising, and background verification vendors
- Ensure recruiting Applicant Tracking System is utilized for appropriate recruiting and reporting tracking throughout the year
- Responsible for onboarding and new-hire processes to ensure employee is setup and prepared to start their role, also ensuring internal organizational changes are updated for senior management
- Oversee all aspects of campus recruiting for sales and marketing (e.g., planning dates, events, scheduling interviews and related details) and manage relationships with employees at the Firm (e.g., recruiting captains, school teams, interviewers, etc.)
- Provide monthly reports on status to management
- Perform ad hoc assignments as prescribed by the manager
Qualifications:
- 3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience within the finance industry
- Experience with job boards and sourcing tools for industry recruiting such as Linkedin, Indeed and Glassdoor
- Working knowledge of Jobvite ATS or other recruiting tracking software
- Highly organized, motivated and team-oriented professional
- Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills
- Bachelor's degree and GPA above 3.0 is required
- Excellent working knowledge of MS office applications, especially Excel
- Working knowledge of Visio is a plus
Compensation $90-110k base salary base plus annual discretionary bonus
