Job Description and Requirements:
This business development role will be responsible for growing Alicat’s OEM product line business in the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of Alicat’s technology and customer applications, allowing you to serve as a consultative salesperson.
- Achieve 25% YOY growth in existing accounts and add at least 10 new OEM customers in the first 2 years.
- Create a target customer list, establish contact by attending trade shows, using social media and by leveraging customer visits to provide value and sell solutions.
- Present and demonstrate products or services to customers.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals.
- Assist in technical troubleshooting calls with customers.
- Develop strong relationships with customers allowing you to both grow their business and forecast their buying behavior.
- Work with Alicat’s marketing team to maximize leads generated from marketing campaigns effectively.
Qualifications:
- Possess an excellent understanding of fluid dynamics, flow regimes, control systems and process control technology.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, entrepreneurship, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in selling technical instrumentation.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to take strategic decisions on the go and work independently.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability and willingness to travel for business development. Travel will be at least 50-60%.
