The practice is highly procedural/interventional with the physician doing in office procedures as well as surgical procedures in a nearby OR. "Interventional Pain Management" is a growing specialty. This practice offers diagnostics and interventional plans to reduce/eliminate pain medications. This practice is most similar to a minimally invasive surgical practice. Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physician
- Perform medical procedures such as wound checks/staple removal, trigger point injections, botox injections, and joint injections
- Provide patient education and treatment options
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Strong knowledge of medical principles, practices, and procedures
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
