Our Facility, Equipment & HVAC Technicians maintain and repair all Car Wash and Facility equipment, complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, and perform all assigned maintenance activities in order for the Car Wash to continue providing clean, dry cars to our customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (other duties may be assigned)

• Maintain In-bay, Self Serve, and Tunnel Car Wash equipment, HVAC, water purification and reclaim systems, Vacuums, and Vending equipment and keep the overall facility in good, clean, and working order. Troubleshoot, diagnose issues and make repairs to equipment.
• Complete scheduled and assigned preventative maintenance of all Car Wash equipment.
• Communicate issues and provide feedback to the Maintenance Engineer regarding maintenance issues and outside service vendor performance.
• Utilize maintenance work order system to complete repair calls, close completed calls, enter resolutions for calls and update calls according to company policies and procedures. Complete assigned work by required deadline. Respond to high priority calls according to company guidelines.
• Maintain fully stocked inventory and be accountable for all aspects of assigned inventory; assist in monitoring and control of maintenance inventory. Requisition of parts necessary to complete the job. Coordinate with the Parts Manager to order needed non-stocked items.
• Attend and participate in all work related meetings, scheduled inventories and training classes.
• Maintain company vehicle and adhere to all state/local/federal laws and company policies regarding operation and maintenance of company vehicle.
• All other tasks assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS: (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)

Education

• High School Diploma/GED
• Technical / Trade training preferred

Experience

• 1 years related experience preferred

Other

• Valid Driver’s license and a clean driving record
• General hand tools to complete the typical HVAC repairs
• Must be willing and able to pass a background check

Schedule Requirements

• Must be available to work beyond usual end time on occasion to complete jobs
• Must be available to work weekends determined by assigned schedule
• Must be available to be “On Call” on holidays
• Must be available to be “On Call” and respond to emergency calls

ABOUT ALL WASHED UP AUTO SPA

The following is an interview from when All Washed Up Auto Spa was featured in “Modern Car Care” in the Top 50 Car washes that shows our company history and culture.

How many of us can say that our high school summer job turned into a successful career? Chuck DeLullo can. He and his wife, Shelly, opened their first car wash in 1996 – a trade Chuck learned from his dad, who owned a mini tunnel when Chuck was growing up.

“My wife and I wanted to start a carwash from scratch, so we bought the land and started with one location,” DeLullo says, recalling the first site in DuBois, Pa.

The business has grown to include eight additional western Pennsylvania locations: Punxsutawney, Johnstown, Harmarville, Penn Hills, Munhall, Uniontown, and Canonsburg.

The company’s quick growth, DeLullo says, is something the couple did not plan. “We were only ever going to build one car wash,” he says with a chuckle. “That was the plan. But opportunities for growth to stand out among other car washes in the area, particularly because of the cleanliness of the sites.

“It projects a certain image to the public,” he says. “People know that if you keep up with the cleanliness that you will clean and maintain other aspects of your facility. There are some car washes that are only five years old, but look like they’re 15 years old because there’s algae all over the walls and they’re not clean and maintained. We want to keep a nice place because people are coming to clean their cars. They don’t want to come to a dirty place to clean it.”

Hand in hand with that philosophy is the maintenance schedule. Similar to visible dirt, grime or algae, a closed bay can send a negative message to customers or potential customers driving past one of the facilities. “If something breaks down, even if it’s raining, we want to fix it so that people don’t drive by and see a bay closed and think that it’s always closed, “notes DeLullo. “We strive to keep everything looking new.”

Another key aspect to All Washed Up’s success is the car wash's dedication to technology and staying current with trends that make the customer experience pleasant and convenient.

Minimizing waste and reusing resources also is important to the DeLullos. For example, excess water from the spot-free rinse is captured and used for under spray. All Washed Up also captures and reuses some of the excess high-pressure water. “About 50 percent of the water you make for spot free you throw down the drain, but we capture it,” DeLullo says.

Pay: $16.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
