Clinical Logistics Associate

Position Summary:

This position supports various logistical and operational aspects of the clinical development program. This role collaborates with Technical Operations to ensure drug availability at the clinical sites. Additionally, this role is responsible for coordinating the procurement of medical equipment and supplies for clinical sites participating in Allakos studies. This individual will also assist with managing the Randomization and Trial Supply Management systems.

Your Role:

  • Clinical Supply
    • Processes Temperature Excursions reported by clinical sites.
    • Request pending temperature logs from sites
    • Reviews site temperature logs to identify unreported temperature excursions.
    • Provides enrollment data and study timelines to Tech Ops to ensure drug availability.
    • Collaborates with TechOps and QA to perform final study drug reconciliation.
    • Reviews and approves clinical site drug destruction procedures.
    • Conduct weekly site inventory reviews
  • Randomization and Trial Supply Management System (RDSM)
    • Participates in User Acceptance Testing
    • Support user and site addition/removal and activations to the IRT system.
    • Process data change requests
    • Reports on discrepancies between the RDSM and the Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems.
  • Other Supplies
    • Places and tracks orders for equipment loans and non-IP study supplies for clinical sites.
    • Generates purchase orders for equipment and ancillary supplies
    • Manages equipment returns
  • General
    • Participates in corporate committees, task forces, technical or business meetings as requested.
    • Ensure timely and appropriate response to clinical investigator site issues or other study management problems.
    • Represents Allakos in a professional manner; establish and maintain superior relationships with Investigators, advisors, other study personnel, clients, and vendors.

Qualifications and Expertise:

  • College degree preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry, preferably directly related to clinical research.
  • A thorough understanding of GCP, ICH guidelines, and regulatory requirements for clinical trial management.
  • Knowledge of research terminology.
  • Self-motivated team player with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong computer literacy (Word/Excel).

Salary range: $78,000-$86,000. This range is what Allakos reasonably expects to pay for this position and offers will be informed by experience, qualifications, and skills.
