Reporting to the Dispatch Supervisor and Receiving Manager, the Truck Dispatcher Lead will work directly with truck drivers, receiving clerks, quality control and growers, as well as other departments. The Truck Dispatcher Lead oversees aspects of Department of Transportation safety and the coordination of a team of company drivers and owner operators. The Dispatcher is responsible for scheduling routes and driver assignments as well as other dispatch duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The essential functions listed below are not intended to reflect all duties that may be assigned to this position. Allan Brothers may augment duties, including essential functions, at its discretion.
· Uphold Department of Transportation rules and regulations to ensure that Allan Bros is in compliance.
· Reporting driver concerns to Dispatch Supervisor.
· Determine which drivers and tractor trailers are best for each load, i.e. by haul type, CDL endorsements, or experience.
· Provide ongoing coaching and training to all workers to ensure processes are performed correctly and on time with Dispatch Supervisor.
· Taking inbound calls from trucks coming from the orchard (Harvest).
· Daily receiving entries reconciliation and hauler information. (Harvest).
· Data entry on outside services page.
· Entering in HighJump empties going out to orchards. (Cherries).
· Keeping up to date with changes to the packing schedule
· Managing fruit movement from off site facilities
· Seasonal responsibilities during apple and cherry harvest.
· Any assignments given by supervisor or manager.
· Receives calls requesting truck service and related information from customers.
· Bin repair supplies & inventory
· Assist on bin lot projects
· Assist on team scheduling & time off
· Verifying accuracy on room maps for Roy Farms
· Running into town for parts & supplies
· Lowboy logistics & route planning
· Coordinating empties out to orchards
· Empties inventory (AB main plant, AB2, Roy Farms & ranches)
QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY:
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Fruit industry preferred.
- General math skills.
- Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Department of Transportation requirements and regulations.

EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION/LICENSES, AND TRAINING:
· Valid driver’s license.
· Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
· High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) is preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The Truck Dispatcher must work the required number of hours to complete the essential job functions; this will include overtime, some holidays, and weekends. This employee must be able to sit/stand for long periods of time or work outside & office environment.
