The primary responsibility of the Lead Server is to accommodate residents and guests during their dining experience by attending to their needs in a friendly, timely, and professional manner.
Areas of Responsibility
- Ensure that the atmosphere of the dining room is pleasant and enjoyable, dining services are timely, and the Servers are attentive to the needs of the residents.
- Set and manage the schedules for the Servers.
- Supervise and assist the Servers in maintaining a clean dining room, chairs, windows, floors, and all work areas.
- Supervise and assist the Servers in clearing tables of glasses, silverware, dishes, etc. when residents and guests have finished a course or their meal.
- Have a good knowledge of the presentation of food being served and train the Servers in this area.
- Always be ready to assist residents in sitting and in rising from the table.
- Serve food in an efficient and professional manner, taking food and beverage orders and serving meals as they are ordered.
- Conduct training sessions for Servers.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Must have state-specific Food Manager Certification or be able to certify within 30 days of hire.
- Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
- The Community is a drug-free workplace; associates are subject to adherence to the Company Drug-Free Workplace policy.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of related experience preferred.
- Some software and computer skills are a plus.
