New Product Development Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW

 Alliance Automation has an immediate opening for a New Product Development Engineer at our rapidly growing business in Van Wert, Ohio. The ideal candidate for this role must possess strong communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, decision-making skills, a high level of creativity, and the ability to multitask and work with others.

  5. Customer Visit Support

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES 

  1. Performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of mechanical theory and principles, statutory codes, and equipment requirements
  2. Design in accordance with GD&T tolerances and OSHA standards related to safety and ergonomics
  3. Installation support as required for prototype equipment
  4. Support product development through all stages to be production ready
  5. Support creation and changes to product manuals and supporting media
  6. Assist with quoting and concepting
  7. Review service calls, warranty costs, and quality issues
  8. Product and purchased part life cycle testing


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE


Qualifications/Skills:

  • 5 years of 3D design in Solidworks preferred
  • Ability to interface with customers and vendors in a professional manner
  • Able to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
  • Experience with SolidWorks, Composer, Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign a plus
     

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field of study or equivalent work experience
