We are currently hiring an Acquisition Specialist to work onsite at Hanscom AFB in Massachusetts.
Active Secret Clearance is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide acquisition support to leaders in program acquisition strategy, as well as acquisition documentation required for senior leader AF approval.
- Support and develop various briefings/schedules of program status and acquisition tasks to senior management
- Contribute to program management reviews, senior level meeting/reviews.
- Assist with drafting and editing program Statements Of Work (SOW), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), and monitor/review progress of industry deliverables on these and other work product
- Monitor and report on program progress toward accomplishment of various taskings and initiatives; provide support by supplying the information and background for the preparation of program events.
- Assist in identifying and tracking program risks of assigned program.
- Draft and gain concurrence of senior program leadership of acquisition and program documentation (briefings, documents, plans, etc.), and support and develop acquisition reports, including statutory and regulatory reports for AF organization and senior USAF leadership.
- Coordinate and supports a variety of program related meetings & conferences to include, but not limited to, Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, cross-functional program strategy &execution meetings.
- Provide advice and solutions to program leadership to facilitate successful contract execution for the program.
- Analyze overall program health and advise program leadership on options to maintain cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
- Develop program reports in accordance with policy and direction, to include PEO Activity Reports (PARs) and Monthly Acquisition Reports (MARs) via System Metric and Reporting Tool (SMART).
- Support Branch and program level meetings, major program reviews and conferences with senior-level key program stakeholders, audits, and inspections. This will include planning, coordinating, communicating, executing, and facilitating these meetings and reviews, taking minutes, and tracking action items through completion.
- Assess and review business processes and provide recommended streamlined approaches, instill repeatable, efficient process improvements and quality initiatives Group-wide.
- Monitor and report on program progress toward accomplishment of various taskings and initiatives; provide support by supplying the information and background for the preparation of program events.
- Provide acquisition support to the Integrated Product Team (IPT) leadership by helping guide successful program execution to maintain the acquisition battle rhythm and deliver warfighter capability.
- Must promote and foster communication, establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with a wide range of team members, representatives from functional disciplines.
Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance
- 2-5 year’s Acquisition experience
- Experience in developing Cost estimates/Pre-award technical documentation desired
- System Metric and Reporting Tool (SMART) experience
- Effective communicator verbally and in writing to both external client and internal team
- Possesses strong organizational and time management skills
- Independent problem solver with good analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PPT, Project, and Outlook) as well as SharePoint to create, update and prepare internal acquisition documents.
