What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Associate position at Alliant?
SUMMARY
Responsible for supporting Alliant’s Transactional Risk team with marketing efforts, increasing sales efficiency and effectiveness, and coordinating prospect opportunities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the development of leads on all Transaction Liability products.
• Provide support with marketing efforts, including research, creation of marketing materials, white papers, and other external communications.
• Train Producers how to identify, profile, and qualify prospects through research, campaigns, technology, marketing, and networking.
• Train Producers how to assess corporate structure, leadership dynamics, prospect goals, and objectives of qualified prospects.
• Assist Producers and Alliant’s Transactional Risk team in prospecting activities as needed, including but not limited to profiling, gaining access, executive overviews, and related activities.
• Partner with Alliant’s Transactional Risk team to target new Transactional Risk insurance candidates.
• Perform regional market assessments for potential opportunities.
• Develop a campaign to target Transactional Risk insurance prospects.
• Expert in sales process, including profiling, gaining access and introduction of Alliant processes.
• Actively engage in educational opportunities to further benefits knowledge, market trends, and regulatory environment.
• Identify and track key milestones in Salesforce for every identified stage from origination to close of sale.
• Work cooperatively within Alliant’s Transactional Risk team to discuss case level activity, expectations, next steps, and manage pipeline through the sales process.
• Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of all work performed, including proper management of timelines and meeting deadlines as established.
• Address incoming correspondence and respond as required in a timely manner.
• Travel to markets, as needed, to facilitate training and prospect presentations.
• Comply with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enter and maintain complete and accurate information).
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Four (4) or more years of experience
Requires a valid insurance license; must continue to meet requirements for license renewal

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary : $65,000 - $81,000
