SUMMARYResponsible for primary leadership and management of call center service staff, ensuring the department meets the customer needs and is delivering a high standard of service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervises staff including coaching, developing, and motivating team members;
• Under limited supervision, makes hiring decisions, conducts performance appraisals, recommends salary adjustments and promotions, conducts quality audits, and identifies and makes recommendations regarding performance;
• Manages the day-to-day operations and monitors team performance;
• Ensures that work assignments delegated to staff are aligned with unit goals and objectives;
• Implements, reviews, and improves department policies, procedures, and service standards;
• Ensures that all business processes are documented and followed according to company and client requirements;
• Builds and maintains productive relationships with internal, external and prospective clients;
• Participates in meetings, projects, and business planning, as required by senior management;
• Interacts positively and works cooperatively with other departments to facilitate outstanding service to clients and effective resource utilization;
• Handles customer complaints and technical issues;
• Maintains carrier partnership;
• Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information);
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two (2) or more years of related work experience, with two (2) or more years in group insurance
Two (2) or more years of experience working for a Group Insurance Carrier or Benefits Brokerage Firm
Valid insurance license preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability and motivation to work independently
Ability to interface with executives – internal and external
Infrequent travel required (0% - 10%)
