ABS is seeking a motivated and analytical Program Manager I, Building Materials, to join our team!
In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the smooth flow of building materials, contributing to ABS's success. You'll leverage your analytical skills and foundation in program management to coordinate procurement, distribution, and inventory control for assigned products within the Building Materials Department. This position also offers the opportunity to develop strong negotiation skills and gain valuable experience in dealer sales.
Responsibilities:
Support the efficient acquisition and distribution of building materials, ensuring timely delivery to meet project needs.
Analyze market trends and data to inform purchasing decisions and optimize inventory levels.
Foster positive relationships with vendors and dealers to secure favorable pricing and terms.
Contribute to the development and implementation of sales strategies for assigned products (experience in dealer sales a plus).
Participate in procurement processes, gaining experience and developing negotiation skills.
Maintain accurate inventory records and implement effective inventory control systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree and 2 years’ relevant experience in the building materials industry or closely related field, and 3-6 months increasingly responsible experience in negotiating programs and pricing.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with vendors and dealers.
Experience in a procurement or distribution role (a plus).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Desired Skills:
Experience in dealer sales or a related field.
Ability to assist in developing and implementing sales strategies.
