What are the responsibilities and job description for the Title Assistant position at Allied Capital Title?
Allied Capital Title seeks a full-time, pleasant, courteous and professional title assistant to work in our Champaign office. Under supervision from the office manager, the assistant will prepare and review documents for closings and recording, answer phones, assist customers with problems and perform other general office duties. This position requires outstanding customer service skills as well as strong mathematical skills. The title assistant will communicate daily with lenders, attorneys and realtors.
General responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Customer Service
- Prepare and review closing documents
- Review and record executed legal documents
- Scan and index closing documents
- Ensure that lien waivers are complete
- Answer phones and assist customers with problem resolution
- Assist with office support, as necessary
Qualifications:
- Knowledge & experience in title or related industry (banking, real estate, construction)
- Ability to work in an accurate, detail oriented and highly productive manner
- Strong analytical skills and problem solving capabilities
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Ability to learn new software programs
- Top notch customer service
- Valid driver’s license.
Additional Info:
- Pay $17 – $19 an hour
- 37.5 Hour work week
- 8:30am – 5:00pm with 1 hour lunch
- Paid Time Off (Accrual begins after first 90 days)
