Summary
The Sales Assistant performs a variety of clerical and administrative activities to support the sales staff. The Sales Assistant is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of information and follow up for existing and prospective customers.
Requirements
What You’ll Do
• Assist the Sr. Sales Representatives and Account Manager in processing national and international orders in a timely manner
• Communicate with vendors for quotes, pricing on special orders, follow up on projects, and other customer driven orders
• Accurately enter orders
• Expedite rush orders in collaboration with our distributions centers in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Arizona
• Update the internal pricing system and Salesforce with the most accurate information available
• Process and follow internal forms
• Be a team player by answering phones, routing calls and other various office duties
What You Need to Bring
• High school diploma at a minimum. Six months to one year of related experience is a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email and in person
• A high level of email etiquette
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
• Strong problem solving skills and independent thinking
• Excellent telephone skills
• Computer knowledge with proficiency in word processing, MS Office, Gmail and Salesforce
