The Opportunity
This position offers an opportunity to support the growing Ally DP&S Reinsurance and Financial Structure programs. The role includes responsibilities involving account formation, payment management, ongoing operational maintenance, and process improvement. Dealer facing interaction is required.
Candidate must reside in the PacWest region near a large metropolitan area, willing and able to travel throughout PacWest region for this Work from Home/Remote role with frequent air travel.
The Work Itself
- Act as a subject matter expert to assess the financial objectives of our dealer partners to recommend the most appropriate reinsurance/financial structure program to suit their needs, strengthening our position as the dealer's Ally
- Be the trusted advisor to the entire designated sales region as the subject matter expert on dealer reinsurance and financial structures by working to maintain existing business relationships as well as partnering to acquire new relationships
- Act as a subject matter expert in the field by leading reinsurance reviews with our current dealer reinsurance partners or by presenting reinsurance options to potential reinsurance candidate
- Coordinate the analysis and timely delivery of reinsurance dashboards, claims registers, cession statements, VIN detail reports, surplus calculations, and other ad-hoc reports as requested by the field Sales staff or the dealer directly
- Take lead in the formation and activation of new reinsurance business for designated sales region
- Work with the Sales organization to improve current dealer-facing reinsurance reporting and processes, taking into consideration dealer feedback and competitive intelligence
- Be the subject matter expert on the applicable laws and regulations for the jurisdiction of Turks & Caicos as they relate to the dealer reinsurance program
- Coordinate and conduct structure training for new hires, attend and participate in local and regional team meetings
The Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, economics, mathematics, or related field required
- 5 years of experience in insurance or other financial services industry required
- Ability to travel
- Ability to communicate technical topics in an easy-to-understand manner
- Ability to effectively manage and influence across the organization to make positive changes to profit participation programs
- High level of problem-solving capability and process improvement skills
- Well-organized and detail-oriented work ethic
- Strong skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Ability to pass a Series 7 securities FINRA exam following hire.
