Job Description: The Food & Beverage Manager will supervise all food and beverage operational aspects throughout the property. Develop programs and strategies to maximize profitability. Will have oversight of ordering, inventory, service delivery, scheduling and cost control. Assist in the hiring and selection of all F&B associates to help achieve our vision.
Job Requirements:
- Adhere to all company and property specific brand standards.
- Hire, train, develops and disciplines food and beverage staff.
- Follows up and maintains food cost controls, methods and procedures.
- Creates and develops menu prices, beverage lists, and beverage prices.
- Ensure associates are in proper uniform and attire.
- Ensure service expectations are met at all touch points.
- Standardized portions used, and is responsible for controlling of food, beverage, and labor.
- Maintains a system of cost controls through purchasing and sales.
- Assist in the development of core F&B training programs and SOP development.
- Review and coordination of all breakfast offerings.
- Review of all buffet and banquet service to ensure efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Directs kitchen maintenance and sanitation program, insuring proper use of equipment.
- Adhere and maintain all Health Department rules and regulations.
- Controlling and maintaining labor costs in scheduling.
- Develops and maintains quality control procedures.
- Must be responsible for security of guests, fellow employees and hotel assets.
- Ensure associates are CPR certified, MSDS trained, and have completed alcohol awareness training.
- Uphold brand guidelines and standards.
- Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc.
Necessary Skills:
- Have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation available.
- Must be able to communicate effectively by writing, telephone and personal meeting situations.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
- Must be organized, honest, and work well with others, and have an outgoing personality.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds.
- Stand/walk on feet for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environment.
- Must have eyesight enabling vision both near and far.
- Finger dexterity for operating kitchen equipment and utensils, as well as, writing. * Must speak in a clear, understandable voice and hear at a basic level, and understand English.
- Must be able to handle heat and stress.
- Must be comfortable using a step stool or ladder.
- Must be able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours.
