Job Description
Gather data to recommend and implement improvements to the supply chain process by creating ways for the organization to be more efficient and cost-effective while working closely with employees throughout various segments within the business unit.
Maintains inventory location records, monitors inventory levels and investigates discrepancies.- Generates and verifies cycle counts and helps resolve the causes of errors.
- Monitor material handling to ensure accurate and smooth flow of materials.
- Support coordination of purchase parts, including testing, while analyzing competitors and monitoring cost.
- Project the organization’s future needs through accurate reporting and data analysis.
- Establish KANBAN in the ERP, on the production floors and with suppliers.
- Creates production schedules based on customer orders and line capacity.
- Works with engineering to ensure BOM are updated and accurate on upcoming and current production orders.
- Utilize ERP system to open and convert manufacturing work orders, monitor work order progress, and plant FGI inventory levels to ensure market forecast will be met.
- Create purchase requisitions, convert to purchase orders, and ensure suppliers confirm receipt of and acceptance of all POs.
- Works closely with operations to ensure infrastructure is prepared for future growth.
- Validates production lead times and availability to the Customer Service team.
- Monitor and report key performance metrics, including backorders, inventories, shortages, and supplier performance.
- Communicates and coordinates with logistics and procurement when inventory levels drop below production needs.
- Ensures accuracy of SOPs and documentation that support job responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field desired, or equivalent of 5 years’ experience in supply chain planning.
- 2 years of experience in Inventory Control, Production Planning, and/or Procurement.
- 3 years working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office software.
- Requires an in-depth knowledge of product and applications and the ability to work and communicate effectively with customers and other staff.
- Microsoft Dynamics knowledge preferred.
