What you will enjoy doing
The IT Systems Integration Specialist is primarily responsible for the automation of business processes by –seamless integration among ALPLA's Business IT Systems.
Main Responsibilities:
Integrate existing business systems by implementing interfaces and changing work processes accordingly.
Provide support in the definition of new working processes that utilize these integrated systems.
Train users and provide them with support for the start-up of these processes.
Ensure that all developed/automated integrated processes are operational at all times.
Ensure that information in multiple systems is kept consistent.
Support, troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the interfaces and middleware. (Includes all modules/interfaces).
Gather requirements from disparate sources to automate new processes based on justifiable needs.
Create and manage new projects as necessary based on Alpla’s needs.
Maintain test environments with reliable data to help ensure quick deployments.
Prepare reports/plans to prove project worthiness. Recommend optimal solutions as necessary.
Seek approval, approve and report monthly expenses as necessary as it relates to Integration or any related function.
Create and maintain documentation on applications and processes when necessary.
Create and maintain an ongoing record of cost savings achieved by this integration task.

Bachelors Degree (Computer Information Systems)
Masters Degree (Project Management)
Microsoft Certified Professional (SharePoint, Office)
Microsoft Certified Trainer
13 years database design, database programming and data analysis experience
13 years Instructional Training experience
12 years experience hands-on software development
10 years experience as a Lead Software Engineer/Architect
7 years Project Management experience
6 years network administration experience
5 years portal design and development using SharePoint Technologies
Qualifications/Skills:
Excellent Problem Solver.
Proficient with full Software Development Life Cycle (using Agile or similar Methodology).
Demonstrated proficiency in leading and managing complex projects.
Ability to work on a team or alone (communicative, reliable, etc) to resolve issues.
Ability to accurately derive requirements based on user complaints/requests.
Excellent at accurately identifying, interpreting and implementing conceptual requirements.
Comfortable working to resolve issues generated from disparate systems.
Comfortable making impactful recommendations and decisions.
Proficient with the following:
ASP.NET using VB.NET and C#
AJAX, XML, HTML
SQL Server (2000 through 2008)
Database Engine, Integration Services, Reporting Services, Stored Procedures, Functions, etc.
OOP Principles
Application Testing and Support
Documentation
General knowledge of communication protocols (FTP,HTTP, etc)
