Objective:
To ensure our products are consistently delivered according to set standards and processes and improve upon processes to increase overall efficiencies.
Key accountabilities:
- Coordinate all the Safety Assurance activities on the project / system / product as per Safety process defined in Signalling Safety Instruction.
- Perform Safety analysis, manage Hazard Log, review RAM, Cyber, V&V, T&C activities from a Safety perspective.
- Define safety plan and manage safety workload and associated planning.
- Support tenders and/or RC teams to integrate product/system in projects.
- Build the Safety Reports and/or the Safety Cases.
- Apply the safety assurance methodologies (risk acceptance criteria, safety analysis, verification and validation) defined for the project / system / product.
- Organize and attend periodic Safety Reviews.
- Defend Safety Case argumentations in front of internal (QS, Safety Assessor) and external (ISA) assessors; define and follow-up action plans to close the findings of the assessors.
- Manage (if any) the Safety Assurance Engineers involved on the project / system / product (Internal or external resources).
- If identified as Safety Leader for a Safety Issue, manage 8D steps as per process.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Key Job Authorities and Dimensions
- Safety reference on the related Projects/Program for the Core team, Customer (internal or external) and assessors/SA (internal and external).
- Team manager if SAE involved.
- Safety budget responsible.
Required Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Systems Engineering or related field.
- 5 years successful experience in safety assurance in the Railway business.
- Excellent knowledge ofCenelec Standards for Safety (or equivalent standards if needed: AREMA, IEEE, etc ) and safety methodology & concepts/principles.
- Prior management experience (preferred)
- English operational in reading and writing for technical documentation
