UI/UX Designer

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated UI/UX Designer for a Full-Time position.

Essential Functions:

• Develop wireframes/mock-up and prototypes for online interface using user experience (UX) design methodologies using an iterative process based on design research/interviews
• Follow agile development methodology including daily stand-up meetings with the project manager and other personnel.
• Coordinate development and deliverable schedules (dev platform, test, training / staging, etc.)
• Be able to develop using Bootstrap, JavaScript Libraries, HTML, CSS, etc. All source code must be version controlled using GIT VCS
• Develop online, responsive (to all devices from small phone screens to large computer screens) interface layout using Bootstrap based on agreed upon design.
• Format and form validation will be based on UX, data types, and client’s needs
• Perform usability testing of prototypes to ensure that usability goals have been attained
• Work with personnel to fix bugs and other minor changes based on findings
• Work with a variety of business personnel to gather application requirements. These personnel include, but are not limited to, biologists, project managers, managers, etc.
• Translate requirements into technical requirements to be implemented by technical personnel such as application developers, UX/UI designers, database developers, etc.

Requirements:

• An in-depth understanding of web technologies used in large-scale Website deployments (including front-end technologies such as JavaScript, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, etc.)
• An in-depth understanding of user experience (UX) research, writing and design.
• Must have user empathy experience to understand customer needs.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with wireframing and user-interface (UI) prototyping.
• Exceptional business analysis skills and business analysis experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with leadership and all project(s) stakeholders.
• Exceptional analytical skills and experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Must be highly organized.
• Ability to plan, organize and keep up with multiple projects and multiple project deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Ability to manage multiple, concurrent work streams with competing deadlines.
• Ability to write and verbally present complex subjects in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to effectively brief senior executives on project issues.

Experience:

5 years providing UI/UX design support.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
