What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduling Coordinator position at Altimate Care?

The Scheduling Coordinator will manage scheduling visits for all home care patients to include Nursing and Therapy visits, as well as Home Health Aide visits. Acts as an assistant to field staff for communications, scheduling and coordination of services as needed. Confirms all services were provided as authorized, and make corrections to schedules as needed. Communicates any changes in schedules to Case Managers, Physicians and patients, and thoroughly documents all communications in the medical record.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the day-to-day scheduling of services per authorization and physician orders.
  • Act as a liaison between all departments as needed, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions.
  • Manages notifications to staff, Case Managers and physicians for all inpatient stays, and maintains documentation in clinical record.
  • Assists with tracking HHA continuing education (Inservices) and works with clinical team to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in the onboarding process as needed.
  • Communicates field staff status changes when applicable.
  • Participate in employee engagement and recognition programs.
  • Assists with authorizations as needed.
  • Assists with and tracks staff birthdays and coordinates office functions as instructed.
  • Cross trained to cover front desk duties as needed along with other office functions per Supervisors discretion.
  • Participate in On Call per office schedule and needs.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience as a scheduler in an Healthcare office preferred.
  • Experience utilizing all computer programs and office machines.
  • Must have superior interpersonal communication skills and be punctual.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable Medicaid, Medicare and Waiver reporting standards
  • Ability to be flexible with work assignments and multitask
  • Must have proof of COVID vaccination

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
