Client Accounting and Advisory Services Intern

Summary/ Objective

The Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) Intern is an undergraduate college or certificate program student who provides entry-level support under direct supervisor while developing practical skills for real-world application in accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll. No billable hour expectation.


Essential Functions

  1. Data entry.
  2. Develop technical skills.
  3. Job shadowing.
  4. Administrative duties including assistance with documentation and shared drive processes and standardizations.
  5. Complete comprehensive project during the course of internship, the results of which will be presented to the CAAS department leadership team.
  6. Attendance at/ participation in department meetings.
  7. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk; or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.

 

This is a temporary/ seasonal position which estimates 20 hours/week with no anticipated overtime requirement.

Required Education and Experience

Education:                 High School Diploma/ GED


Experience:              Prior experience with QuickBooks preferred.
