Pay Range: $49,961.60 - $74,942.40 Summary: The Supervisor of the Gift Shop oversees daily operations of the Gift Shop under the general policy-direction of the Alliance Executive Committee of the Alliance Board of Directors, with oversight by the Manager of Volunteer Services and Retail Operations. The Gift Shop Supervisor maintains efficient and accurate financial systems and reports for the Altru Alliance Board. The Supervisor is responsible for Gift Shop purchasing and inventory, participates in workshops and buying trips as appropriate and is responsible for customer sales, service and shop security and compliance. Essential Job Functions: Responsible for all financial operations regarding sales, payment of invoices, accounts receivable, collection of payments, adjustments of defective merchandise and refunds. Reviews and submits all invoices for payments. Reviews cash register tapes and money for accuracy; daily bank deposits. Prepares financial information monthly for manager and Altru Alliance Board. Develops and implements short and long-range goals for Altru Alliance Gift Shop and is responsible for measurable outcomes and effective use of resources. Reviews inventory reports daily and replenishes inventory as needed. Responsible for receiving, pricing, displaying and inventory of merchandise. Ensures merchandise is displayed in a visually appealing manner. Creates an annual sales plan to maximize sales and minimize markdowns. Responsible for year-end inventory of store and reconciliation of year-end files. Recruits, develops, retains and leads a talented team staff committed to accomplishing the goals of department. Oversees all human resource activities including recruitment, retention, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions. Develops, revises and implements administrative policies, procedures, guidelines and job descriptions. Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
