Banquet Manager
As the Banquet Manager, you will collaborate with Culinary and Sales & Events to plan and oversee daily operations of the Banquet Service team. This involves close coordination with all hotel departments to ensure successful events that enhance guest experiences. Your role is pivotal in upholding the highest standards of service, quality, and customer satisfaction, playing a key part in creating memorable guest experiences.
Position Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of banquet operations, ensuring seamless execution of exceptional service for events and banquets.
- Build strong client relationships, meeting with guests to understand their event requirements and ensuring their expectations are exceeded.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the highest levels of service standards.
- Develop strong partnerships with leadership across the property, ensuring there is a cohesive and seamless integration of the restaurant within the broader guest experience.
- Mentor, train, and conduct in-the-moment coaching to develop team.
- Foster and maintain open communication between Sales & Catering, Banquets and Kitchen Leaders and associates.
- Achieves financial targets through maximizing revenue and managing expenses and productivity.
- Performance management of all restaurant associates through constant communication, training, development, and follow-up
- Inspects establishment and observes workers and patrons to ensure compliance with occupational, health, and safety standards and local liquor regulations.
- Complete daily reports, assist in preparing departmental budget.
- Ensure staff complies with guest check procedures, cash handling and accounting procedures.
- Maintain communication between other departments on items such as occupancy levels, banquets and special functions, housekeeping and maintenance, and laundry and uniforms.
- Set and maintain par levels of dry goods, China, glass, silverware, linen and operational supplies.
- Ensure adherence to all Resort customer service standards.
Essential skills and experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college, university, or degree from culinary institute; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Hospitality degree preferred.
- Two years of experience in Food & Beverage Supervisory role management with a strong knowledge of banquet operation preferred.
- Experience maintaining inventory, ordering, and scheduling preferred.
- Work weekends & holidays on a flexible schedule.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Accurate cash handling.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Must have or be able to obtain within the introductory period a TAPS card and Food Handlers Card.
