Position Summary:
The Host/Hostess is an important part of the initial contact with the guests and must provide a warm welcome and provide excellent customer service to set the tone of the guest experience. The Reservation Supervisor will be responsible for administrative tasks as well as greet, seat, page guests, and answer the phone in a professional manner. The Reservation Supervisor assumes the role of tour guide & communicator, as well as that of a supervisor/manager of all the reservations, VIP services and CRM.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide a guest experience from when they walk in, including opening doors and greeting guests.
- Always provide a warm welcome and thank guests when they leave.
- Answer questions accurately and politely via in person, electronic communication or over the phone.
- Maintain a clean and organized waiting area.
- Assist guests in making, editing, or moving reservations and always confirm reservations.
- Direct guests to sitting area & restrooms.
- Follow restaurant’s sequence of seating and service.
- Assist servers, bussers and managers as requested.
- Perform opening, closing & side duties; including but not limited to cleaning glass, polishing brass, sweeping & vacuuming the floor, wiping menus, restroom maintenance, etc.
- Engage the guest to ensure complete satisfaction of every guest and communicate issues immediately to management.
- Supervise table chart, sitting pre-assignment, and meet & greet of our guests.
- Supervise the Customer Relationship Management of the restaurant, including but not limited to reservation call-back and confirm, follow up “thank you” email execution and management, data collection execution and management, etc.
- Supervise the phone reservation system of the restaurant, helping in coordinating schedule, handover of duties, data collection & management, etc.
- Create memorable experiences by observing opportunities and anticipating guests needs.
- Assist Office Manager with administrative tasks including scanning/processing restaurant invoices.
- Communicate with Corporate as needed to ensure vendors are paid according to terms of contract.

Education
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in fine dining establishment.
- High school or equivalent education required.
Licenses or Certificates
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits must be “SERV Safe Certified” by the State of Florida.
