Amason & Associates, Inc. has immediate openings for Construction Superintendent in Tuscaloosa. Projects include institutional, commercial, and light-industrial. Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily operation of construction project
- Ensure that safety practices are strictly upheld and enforced
- Works with project managers/executives to coordinate day-to-day supervision and management of construction project to ensure project efficiency
- Assist project manager in producing project status reports
- Review and coordinate shop drawings to maintain accordance with contract documents and project drawings
- Procure necessary project tools and supplies
- Assist in reviewing subcontractor billing and percentage of completion
- Coordinate with subcontractors to develop dynamic staffing plans based on schedule and availability during all phases of the project
- Prepare daily manpower tracking reports for the project workforce
- Coordinate regulatory inspections
- Communicate project progress to owner and project managers
- Manage quality control and compliance
- Monitor subcontractors to ensure adherence to contract terms
- Lead periodic subcontractor meetings
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as lead project superintendent
- Strong project management and communications skills
- Ability to read and understand construction documents
- Familiarity with regulatory construction standards
- Able to utilize tablet-based project management software (ex. Plangrid, Procore)
- Able to work outdoors for extended hours in an active setting
- Able to move and lift weights up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, scaffolding, etc. (activities typically required in construction work)
- Possess a valid driver’s license

Pay: $50,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
