We are looking for an experienced compliance and risk professional to create simple compliance solutions to support the launch and growth of exciting global customer-facing payments products at Amazon!
This role will be specifically responsible for providing clear requirements and driving compliance program implementation to enable business expansion across e-commerce, prepaid, lending and other payments offerings. This is an opportunity to be a driving force behind a well-oiled compliance program that reduces friction for customers.
You will:
- Act as a central owner to drive intake and prioritization for Compliance Programs
- Partner with Compliance Officers and Compliance Program Managers to ensure compliance requirements are implemented by establishing project plans, defining owners and milestones, reporting status to senior management and driving towards launch approval
- Work with legal teams to understand applicable regulations associated with new products or material product changes
- Collaborate with internal fraud, abuse, information security and AML risk management teams to identify risks
- Create clear compliance requirements and work with tech and product teams to translate into engineering requirements
- Proactively identify pain points and opportunities for continual process simplification and improvement to create program efficiencies
- Raise the customer experience bar by optimizing risk-based controls and removing unnecessary friction
- Use high judgment and subject matter expertise to quickly assess and offer risk-based solutions to difficult business issues
- Perform competitive benchmarking to ensure Amazon compliance programs exceed industry standards
- Define key program output measures and drive goals to improve these measures over time
- Maintain business control inventories and work with compliance and risk teams to ensure appropriate monitoring and testing
- Certification in Project Management
- Direct experience with AML compliance programs, including Suspicious Activity Monitoring, Know Your Customer, Sanctions and/or Denied Party Screening
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ability to translate concepts into clear steps and communicate to technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels
- Proven capability to work independently and continually calibrate priorities with minimal supervision
