The AWS Training & Certification (T&C) team is looking for an experienced candidate to develop and implement customer-focused sales programs and tools and increasing the engagement between the AWS Account owners and AWS Training and Certification.
As part of the AWS Training and Certification Field Operations (T&C) team, your goal is to support the increasing sales of T&C offerings through AWS Account teams.
To do this you will support sales programs and tools and will be responsible for collecting feedback from field sales, field sales operations, partner feedback, and their respective needs.
You will transform insights into prioritized new field sales operations and support programs, make improvements to existing programs and the tools we use.
You will also be responsible for working with Business Planning teams to quantify the impact of sales and field operation programs and tools.
The ideal candidate has both a strategic business background, as well as a deep understanding of customer experience, sales, and sales operations functions.
You should be intimately familiar with one or more IT customer segments and verticals (e.g. enterprise, public sector, mid-market).
You should have demonstrable success working with field sales and sales operations teams to support them and foster engagement with other teams.
You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business challenges, and are able to build and convey compelling plans and frameworks.
You have the ability to balance multiple projects and work within a high-growth and constantly evolving environment. You have a passion for solving complex business challenges and thrive on constantly improving the customer experience.
Key job responsibilities
- Researches and understand how the AWS Sales and Sales Operations teams work across multiple Sales organizations; uses this knowledge to shape Field Operations initiatives
- Work with your counterparts in AWS Sales Strategy, Operations, Compensation, and Goal Planning
- Defines the key field sales support systems / mechanisms required to meet the rapid growth of the business and achieve revenue attainment and market development objectives
- Leads work streams aimed at automation and enhancement for their immediate and broader business
- Work with AWS leaders and AWS customer-facing field teams, including their input into programs and tools
Work with AWS and T&C Analysts to obtain actionable data needed for Field Operations
- Understands and communicates the T&C Field Sales Operations vision to team members and neighboring teams
- Handle issues escalated from the AWS Sales and Sales Operations teams related to selling T&C offerings
- Manage the success of high-profile strategic projects, and provide data-driven recommendations
- Define, manage, and collect data for dashboards that monitors the performance of programs and tools across customers, partners, field sales, and other internal organizations within T&C

About Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4 years of experience in sales and sales operations within the software, technology, or training industries
- Demonstrated experience working with and communicating with multiple international stakeholders and cross functional teams, including sales account management, business development, product management, product marketing, program management, legal, as well as partner communities
- Strong knowledge of project management lifecycle and framework.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, as well as the ability to work effectively across organizations, geographies, and cultures
- Bachelor's degree
- Ability to travel 10-25% as needed
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working within the enterprise software or cloud computing industry is highly desired
- Strong familiarity in Go-to-Market strategy, customer experience design, customer success
- Extensive experience in an operations role, with a passion for finding and implementing operational improvements
