Then join the AWS Worldwide Revenue Operations Segmentation and Planning (WWRO S&P) team, we provide the technology, tools, and processes to support the rapidly growing world-wide AWS Sales organization.

Our team is seeking an experienced, innovative Principle UX Designer to lead design of an early stage, high priority product used by the Global AWS Sales and Sales Operations organization to develop go-to-market sales plans. This includes establishing design principles and process within the team, owning the design strategy and roadmap, and leading the end to end design of the product. This product is a custom built, enterprise grade web application that is still in early stage, and has an exciting multi-year product vision and roadmap.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead end to end product design, including design vision and execution.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams, as well as business stakeholders and executive leadership, to launch bar-raising experiences for customers.
  • Simplify and distill complex business processes into intuitive product experiences.
  • Identify opportunities to think differently about the status quo on customer experiences, based on customer research, best practices and design thinking.
  • Lead customer research efforts to understand new areas of opportunity, define customer needs, develop personas, and to seek feedback on new and existing features.
  • Create and rapidly iterate on ideas using process flows, prototypes, wireframes, and higher-fidelity designs to effectively communicate design strategies and product flows.
  • Design the architecture, interface, and interaction flow across a complex suite of product experienced. Work backwards from customer needs while understanding the business context and technical constraints.
  • Craft, pitch, and validate long-term design strategies.
  • Articulately present design vision, direction and solutions to senior leadership
  • Continually iterate and evolve the way we design for and learn from our customers.
  • Experience leading full life cycle design projects, from design strategy through execution
  • Effectiveness in working across product management, engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders to influence and deliver results
  • Strong bias for action including the ability to juggle multiple priorities and effectively deliver in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to clearly articulate design intent and rationale. Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience creating prototypes or wire-frames for complex web applications and/or workflows for projects of large scope and complexity.
  • 5 years of experience in conducting user research, including creating design artifacts including customer journeys, personas and archetypes based on a deep understanding of the customer.
  • Experience conducting, synthesizing, and deriving insights from generative ethnographic research and evaluative usability and user testing of concepts and features.
  • Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Sketch, InVision, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar.
  • Master’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
