What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strategic Planning and Innovation Manager position at Amazon Web Services, Inc.?
- 12 years in leadership working with and/or in NP Healthcare customers in strategy, innovation, consulting, business development, performance improvement, or program management capacity
- Experience working directly with NP Healthcare C-suite executives and/or Board of Directors
- Bachelors in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, or other related field
Your responsibilities will include analyzing the NP Healthcare provider environment and developing flexible yet enduring strategic plan for AWS to build long-term customer trust and enabling NP health system customers through cloud-based technologies and services. Working with the NP Healthcare leadership team, account teams, and other Amazon and AWS stakeholders, you will dive deep to understand customer priorities, needs, and challenges, and identify strategic opportunities to develop a market segment strategy, including concrete pipeline for AWS services and alternative business models to support the unique elements of the NP Healthcare customer while building a sustainable AWS business. Working with customers’ C-suite executives and their staff, you will help reimagine how AWS can deliver on customers’ mission and vision. More specifically, you will work with customers to ideate, prioritize, and deliver on a diversified innovation pipeline. You will create review schedules and internal/external documents to present opportunities and investment proposals to leadership teams and other stakeholders.
In the context of developing a strategic plan, you will also work with the NP Healthcare leadership team to create broader strategic approaches that may bring in new capabilities to our customers and/or engage partners in a more strategic way to ensure our customers' success. You will identify and accelerate growth enablers and remove any barriers to growth. You will understand and present to the NP Healthcare leadership team emerging trends, technologies, services, solutions, and partners that help our customers achieve their missions and communicate those insights to inform real-time strategic planning. You will support creating thought leadership content and coordinating and delivering whitepapers, case studies, use cases, pilots, proofs of concept, and demonstrations that help customers see the value of AWS solutions. In addition, you will provide insights and data on customers’ return on investments (ROI) and business case analysis.
The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of NP Healthcare customers and their missions, priorities, clinical, operational, and financial systems, and procurement behavior. They will have a combination of experience in strategic planning, business development, sales, innovation, and program management. In addition to strategic planning, they will be willing and able to execute on those plans and drive actions to a successful completion. They will have deep industry background that enables them to engage and communicate effectively on a wide range of technical and business discussions with customers, partners, and internal AWS teams. They will have to demonstrate their experience in building successful go-to-market plans, partner and teaming strategies, selling through various business models and contract vehicles, and the ability to convey differentiators and value propositions. Successful candidates will identify cross-cutting opportunities that can serve multiple customers and build customer references and use cases to support future engagements. Having a proven and successful track record of building and managing a large pipeline of opportunities within the NP Healthcare market is a plus. Finally, they will serve as key members of the Analysis, Planning, and Execution (APEX) Team – both embedded within the NP Healthcare team and creating cross-cutting mechanisms for the Worldwide Public Sector and beyond.
