Amazon is looking for an experienced Editor for our Appstore developer documentation team. We’re looking for someone excited to dive into complex application development tech docs and ensure they are accurate, understandable, consistent, and well organized. You will work closely with our team of technical writers to help guide developers from all over the world to create apps and games for TVs and other smart devices.
Key responsibilities
* Review and edit the developer-facing API/SDK documentation created by a team of technical writers for accuracy, completeness, style, and form
* Apply, evangelize, and contribute to the team style guide
* Reinforce fundamentals of good communication and help our team become better writers.
Preferred qualifications
* 3 years editing or authoring documentation in a relevant field and a solid understanding of the software development process
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Experience working from a style guide
* Experience with API and SDK documentation for a developer audience
* Familiarity with programming languages such as Javascript or C
* Experience working with a CMS tool like Git
* Familiarity with HTML or Markdown
Located in Sunnyvale/San Jose or Seattle
Contract Length: 6 months
Location: Seattle (Hybrid)
Pay Range: $40 - $46 per hour
