Amazon is seeking an experienced, analytical, and creative Internal Communications Specialist to drive global, employee communication. In this role, you will build and implement communication strategies and long-term internal marketing campaigns that are designed to inform and engage corporate employees on prioritized topics and narratives. This individual should be a creative, enthusiastic storyteller who can work across teams and with various executives to mine for compelling stories and content ideas. This individual may have experience working in a newsroom and should have the demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic organization, with a track record of generating results.

Core Job Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

• Develop and drive communications that engage and inspire corporate employees around the company’s mission, Leadership Principles, launches, and other priorities.
• Experiment with new, creative ways to reach corporate employees with the news and information they care about, and drive their engagement in prioritized company initiatives.
• Develop communication plans that think long-term, tying multiple communication moments together into broader strategies.
• Research, write, edit, and publish communications with an obsession for quality and accuracy.
• Serve as a trusted internal communications partner and strategic advisor for several teams across Amazon.
• Routinely measure and report out to stakeholders regarding the impact of internal communications.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 years of experience in communications, journalism, or social media
• 2 years of communications or marketing experience in technology, and/or retail industries
• Portfolio of work demonstrating the ability to tell complex stories in relatable terms
• Project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Experience working within a multi-national company and at least one organization with 50,000 employees
• Outstanding attention to detail Self-motivated individual requiring minimal direction
• Experience with visual storytelling, video production, social media
• Team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done
• Able to work with all levels of employees, including senior leaders
• Able to exercise high judgment and deliver results, particularly in narrow time-frames
