Job Description Job Description Summary Sets up and produces plastic extruded film by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Set up and run a TWQ extruder machine at required specifications Starts machine and observes operation to detect malfunctions of machine. Stops machine and reports malfunction to supervisor. Makes minor adjustments such as adjusting edge guides, width adjustments, machine settings, loading rolls onto skid and banding them. Inspects film per testing methods and for defects to ensure that product is according to specifications. Accurately reporting production and labeling rolls. Perform quality testing and ensure product is within customer specifications. Use roll cart, hoist and tilt locks to load rolls onto a skid. Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Basic computer skills or ability to learn Able to operate pallet jacks, hoist, or other mobile equipment. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; climb steps up 3 levels high, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
