Amentum is currently seeking an Enterprise Training Lead to support an IT Managed Services program for the Department of Energy. The overall program includes a 500 work force performing Enterprise IT support, Service Desk, and Telecommunications support across multiple facilities and locations, for classified and unclassified telecommunications and information technology (IT) systems for National Technology and Engineering Solutions of Sandia (NTESS).
We provide end-user support with processes for managing and delivering services that are ITIL® conformant. Resolve incidents, service requests, and problems associated with service failures or degradations that are related to hardware and software computing devices (including mobile equipment). Additionally, support multi-user rooms (e.g., Skype rooms, classrooms) and video and collaborative technologies.
The operating systems supported include approved and authorized versions of MS Windows, MacOS, and Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu). The hardware supported includes laptops, desktops, thin/zero clients running desktop-as-a-service (DaaS), virtual-desktop infrastructure, and associated peripheral devices.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise in business process and system analysis, design, improvement, and implementation efforts and in translating business process needs into technical requirements. Provide organizational and strategic planning for a wide variety of technical and functional environments. Provide expertise in, but not limited to, Configuration Management, Strategic Planning, Knowledge Management, Business Analysis and Technical Analysis.
- As an Enterprise Training Lead, you will-be-asked to deliver training programs and workshops to employees and managers. You will monitor the effectiveness of training on employees using individual or group performance results. Collect feedback on sessions from attendees to use for future improvements to content and presentation. Discover and develop new training program design and existing program enhancements. Lead and support a team of co-trainers by facilitating continual training-skills refinement, project coordination, and day-to-day responsibilities to students and management. Remove obstacles or pain points inhibiting successful training delivery.
- The lead trainer develops and creates lesson plans and training aids. May specialize in a particular subject, training program, or function of the company. Training programs may typically include topics such as supervisory/management training, work skills training, team building, and communications. Edit existing, and develop new, training collateral to assist with new technology and processes for specialized support groups such as Password Administration.
- In addition, the training lead will be expected to step into various enterprise environments to turn existing processes, procedures, and workflows into repeatable and efficient training plans.
- Oversee and approve of onboarding documentation and process for new employees entering the contract.
- Discover new work environments and develop detailed training plans.
- Identify and deploy industry best practices to enhance training footprint.
- Lead group of trainers handling dynamic curriculums to multiple teams / audiences.
- Work with internal and client leadership to enhance processes and workflows, with an emphasis on production efficiencies.
- Continually iterate and improve training plans through attendee feedback and evolving processes.
- Lead projects related to training development of specialized services.
- Ensure the employees are educated and prepared to support the changing needs of the members of the workforce, and evaluate readiness of new team members to enter the production environment.
- Be an escalation point for both technical staff and trainers.
- Develop and deliver pass down presentations for multiple levels of management to report out status and success of training programs.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have an Bachelors Degree and 2 years of experience OR Associates Degree and 5 years of experience OR High School Diploma / GED and 8 years of experience.
- Must be able to obtain a TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q clearance and maintain it for the life of the contract.
- Intermediate-to-advanced MS productivity suite & collaborative applications expertise (e.g. Office, Access/SQL, Visio, SharePoint, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Active SECRET or DOE L Clearance at a minimum. TOP SECRET or DOE Q preferred.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- IT Certifications to include CompTia, Microsoft or Apple Certifications.
- Advanced desktop support & trouble shooting skills.
- Mac OS & application experience a plus.
- Knowledge of Computer Management Solutions, IT Cyber Policies, and common enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of the Sandia National Laboratories environment.
- Experience Leading IT teams or projects.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with others, communicating to your supervisor, and speaking with various stakeholders.
