Job Description:
Install, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)
equipment at transmission and distribution regulator stations, gate purchase points,
industrial/commercial installations, and gas storage fields. Calibrate measurement equipment,
odorization equipment, pressure, temperature and differential pressure transducers at gate stations,
gas storage fields and other Ameren facilities. Calibrate and document recording devices, pressure
transmitters, and electronic pressure recorders to comply with federal and state requirements. Install,
configure, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain remote terminal units interfacing with SCADA
equipment. Update as-built construction schematics and wiring prints.
This position is covered by the IBEW bargaining agreement.
Job Requirements:
Ability to identify unsafe working conditions and take corrective actions
Job requires expertise in electronics and SCADA applications
Maintain Ultrasonic meters.
High aptitude regarding various mechanical, pneumatic, electronic field devices and testing equipment
Must be able to read and analyze electrical prints and schematics
Demonstrate evidence of strong computer skills
Excellent communication and written skills
Ability to work unsupervised
Ability to work long hours in all weather conditions
Availability for emergency call-outs and overtime
Possible home-site reporting
Possess a valid Illinois driver's license
Other duties as assigned
Education:
The minimum education qualifications for the GCT position are a high school diploma or GED and an associate degree/technical degree in electronics technology, or equivalent.
In lieu of an associate degree, experience performing the Gas SCADA electronics instrumentation installations, maintenance, and operations, or equivalent, will be considered.
