Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Supervises students in a variety of school-related settings
- Establishes and communicates high academic expectations withregard to state and local curriculum objectives
- Plans, designs, and arranges school library mediacenters
- Evaluates, selects, and maintains materials for the generaland professional collections
- Stays current with educational trends, current research, andtechnological advances
- Collaborates with curriculum committees, leadership teams,assessment
- Models for students, teachers, and educational support staffthe strategies for locating, accessing, and evaluating information within andoutside of the library media center
- Demonstrates knowledge of educational research, trends, andbest practices
- Communicates and interacts professionally with students,parents, staff, and community
- Participates in district-wide and building committeesrelated to educational and employment matters, as applicable
- Adheres to district and Amergis' policies and procedures
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree (Education) or relatedfield.
- Understanding and experience with curriculum design,planning and instruction
- Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
- Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency programwhen applicable
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Successful completion of new hire training as applicable tojob site
- Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAArequirements
- Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in theEnglish language is required
- Computer proficiency required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
