What will you do in this role?
You will…
- Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Create job postings and advertisements.
- Source passive candidates, screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
- Conduct preliminary phone interviews to ensure candidate qualifications.
- Administer skills testing when necessary.
- Schedule interviews; oversee the preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
- Meet with hiring managers weekly and provide weekly recaps at week’s end.
- Collaborate with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Negotiate offers on behalf of the company.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Attend and participate in college job fairs, recruiting sessions (virtual or on-site).
- Ensure positive candidate experience through prompt communication.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What will you need to bring to the table in order to be successful in this role?
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
At least two years managing all phases of the recruitment process required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Each day is different from the next; especially in personal interactions. Fast-paced environment. Multiple projects going simultaneously.
- Very socially focused; requires "how can I help you?" attitude. Lots of attention spent on building and maintaining relationships, especially where helping, not pressuring others fosters the relationship.
- Adherence to established guidelines and procedures is important. Important to involve others in the decision-making; there is a need to build consensus rather than make decisions alone.
- Open, flowing communication is important. Position requires working with and through others, especially in a helping role.
- Team environment: leader must be willing to jump in and roll up his/her sleeves to help out when necessary. Need someone who leads by example, with first-hand knowledge of area of expertise. Strong, friendly follow-up necessary on tasks delegated to ensure proper results.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant tracking systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Job Location
This role is 100% remote. However, American Auto Shield is only set up to hire employees in certain states. To be considered for this role, you will need to have permanent residence in one of the following states:
