General Manager-Hotel

The General Manager (GM) will be responsible for overall property management, revenue generation, cost control, guest satisfaction, and supervising employees while maintaining the integrity of the hotel. This property has over 100 rooms.

Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to)

• Responsible for legal compliance and franchise standards
• Hotel administration and performance, service to patrons, and room rates
• Delivers outstanding guest service and financial performance
• Assigns responsibility to all employees; supervises work activities of all employees
• Ensure staff receives proper training for each position, including safety training and standard operating procedures
• Inspects guests' rooms, public access areas, and outside grounds for cleanliness and appearance
• Answers and resolves problems to maintain Guest Satisfaction
• Handles and resolves employee issues
• Adheres to all franchise and company procedures and regulations as well as standard operating procedures
• Ensures employee paperwork and work schedules
• Order supplies and equipment as needed
• Must be in proximity so available to manage hotel situations/emergencies

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of three years of experience as a hotel GM, AGM, or relevant role.
• Ideal candidate will have a sound background in sales, operations, yield management, financial reporting, and delegation.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as a team
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to shift & and manage priorities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Experienced with the IHG PMS system
• Hilton brand knowledge is a must
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• High level of flexibility regarding overtime during times busy periods as required by the business

Education and Experience:

• Associate degree or higher level of education preferred
• Supervisory: 3 years (MUST)
• General Manager or AGM: 1 Year (Must) or 3-5 years (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Morning shift

Experience:

• Hotel management: 9 years (Preferred)
• IHG: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• Wilmington, NC 28401: Relocate before starting work (Required)
