The ACI Foundation, a wholly owned subsidiary of the American Concrete Institute (ACI), is looking for a marketing manager to design, coordinate, oversee, and execute its marketing and promotion activities. The ACI Foundation consists of a small team of program and fundraising staff. The marketing manager will be one of five staff that report to an executive director. You will also have the advantage of working with a larger ACI support team including event planning, expanded communication services, publishing, and information technology.
The ACI Foundation supports ACI and the concrete industry by raising funds to administer grants for student scholarships, concrete research, and new technology. We are looking for a dynamic and organized individual to help the ACI Foundation reach its overall goals of financial sustainability, building the future of the concrete industry and creating lasting community relationships. The marketing manager will design and execute the overall marketing strategy including the following core initiatives: increase messaging about program impact, increase brand awareness using a variety of media, increase donor engagement outreach with stories and creative content, and coordinate the redesign of the ACI Foundation website.
Position Responsibilities:
· Understand and support the ACI Foundation’s business operations, culture, mission, and vision
· Design and execute the overall marketing strategy, plans, and schedule for promotional, media and public relations
· Work with program and fundraising staff to develop and implement all external marketing vehicles, including electronic, printed, on-site events, website, and social media, incorporating a donor-centered focus
· Develop and implement a comprehensive communication plan focusing on impact communication, brand recognition, and donor and volunteer engagement
· Oversee comprehensive editorial calendar
· Manage the social media presence of the ACI Foundation, including engaging with followers and answering questions, using creative and consistent content
· Help create content for communications in all formats, including electronic, printed, on-site events, and social media
· Develop and execute market assessment tools and processes and report on findings
· Oversee and make recommendations regarding the marketing/promotional content and presentation on the ACI Foundation’s website.
· Maintain brand identity and guidelines
Position Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations
· 3-5 years of experience in marketing and communications
· Strong preference for those with development/fundraising marketing or non-profit experience
· Proficient with marketing-related software programs
· Strong skills in a variety of media, including digital, print, and social
· Knowledge of marketing-related business practices, including advertising, market research, technology, and budgeting
· Excellent writing skills with ability to distill large amounts of information into an impactful message
· Aptitude in HTML a plus
· Aptitude in graphic design, graphic design software, and publication layout a plus
· May be required to travel to attend conventions, trade shows, off-site meetings, industry conferences, training events, or other business-related events which could involve multi-day or multi-week overnight travel
