What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic C position at American Gypsum?
- Must have an electrical background in his/her prior work history or through the successful completion of a trade school.
- No specific knowledge of the plant, terminology, or equipment is required.
- Must have all tools contained in the “Grade 1” tool set.
- Must have a general knowledge of power distribution equipment.
- Must have a general knowledge of motors.
- Must have a general knowledge of variable speed drives.
- Must have a telephone and understands he/she is subject to “call out” at any time during his/her employment with American Gypsum Company.
- Must learn and practice good housekeeping principles.
- Must learn and practice the parts check out program for the Parts Room.
- Must be able to work in a safe manner in all conditions and circumstances.
- Must learn and practice all Plant Safety Programs.
