American Gypsum is hiring for a Paper Hanger for Production department as a Full-Time job in Duke, Oklahoma.
The primary responsibility of the Paper Hanger is to ensure the proper preparation and supply of paper and raw materials to the operation in a safe manner. Safety and quality should always be part of the daily operation of the Paper Hanger, as well as to provide a safe workplace and to produce the highest quality product possible. The schedule is a 12-hour shift that rotates every other week; the Paper Hanger reports to the Wet End Supervisor.
Paper Hanger Roles and Responsibilities:
- Inspect and trim defects from paper rolls.
- Understanding of all raw materials used in the process including the different types of paper.
- Be familiar with the purpose of all raw materials.
- Understanding of safe operation for front end loader.
- Understanding of mobile equipment safety inspection.
- Waste is to be held to a minimum during trimming and splicing off and know proper procedure is followed when paper is rejected.
- Know operating procedure for the electric hoists.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be flexible with job duties job duties; may be required to fill in on other jobs when the business or organization is short-handed.
- Must be able to read information on raw material containers and accurately fill in forms.
- Must be able to accurately input information into a computer.
- Majority of the job requires very little physical exertion.
- Attention level requirements are high; watching material use, listening for alarms, driving lift trucks in high traffic area.
