American Jewelry and Loan is the premier operator of pawnshops in Michigan. While nationally known as “Hardcore Pawn” for our store at 8 Mile and Greenfield, we operate 4 other locations in Hazel Park, Pontiac, Lincoln Park and Southgate.

A successful candidate must have the ability to quickly learn, understand and adapt to a highly successful organization and bring demonstrated skills as we grow existing operations both in terms of volume and locations.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in managing daily store operations under the guidance of senior management
- Learn and implement inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels
- Support retail sales activities and customer service initiatives
- Participate in team management by coordinating schedules and tasks
- Gain experience in sales management, including pricing strategies and promotions
- Provide administrative support as needed, including record-keeping and reporting
- Handle cash transactions accurately and securely

Qualifications:

- Prior experience or knowledge in inventory control, retail sales, or related fields
- Strong interest in team management and leadership development
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic retail environment
- Proficient in cash handling procedures and basic accounting principles
- Familiarity with market trends and customer preferences
- Previous exposure to assistant manager roles is a plus
