Nature and Scope Provide assistance to the Project Management team within the R&D department for internal and external projects. Work with the R&D Project Managers to ensure that timelines are built and managed appropriately. Activities include process mapping, resource estimating and balancing, and project management. Build timelines and activity lists for R&D development projects with a focus on resources and risks. Create and maintain process maps for complex development projects to understand the relationships, dependencies, and roadblocks to completing of the overall objective. Manage projects of various sizes and scope within the department. Assist with template generation for standardized work processes. Ensure all work is performed and documented in accordance with existing company policies, procedures, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and health & safety requirements. Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by management. Education Requirements and Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. A Rising Junior or Senior in Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent, preferred. Attention to detail and able to follow instructions and operating procedures. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel is highly desirable. Microsoft Project is preferred, but not required. Physical Environment and Requirements Physically able to wear laboratory protective gowning and equipment, including but not limited to gowning, goggles, face shields, respirators, and protective gloves. PPE and Respirators are essential for the health and safety of employees. Specific vision requirements include 20/20 near vision (can be corrected with eyeglasses or contacts) and color vision. Position requires working in an office setting, with sitting and standing. May require occasional work in Laboratory or Manufacturing areas. Employees must maintain a clean-shaven appearance each working shift to wear tight-fitting respirators properly.
