Summary Description

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service
- Adhere to American Road Group Shared Values and Commitment to Success (will be provided at time of hired).
- Provide excellent customer service to all of the dealership’s customers.
- Greet customers immediately, in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Possess the ability to work with several customers at one time while maintaining individual customer satisfaction.
- Point out any sales, specials, or new product to customers.
- Assist customers with their selection of merchandise and offer additional products that complement the purchase.
- Accept cash & credit card payments for parts purchases. Keep cash register accurate.
- Notify customers when special orders or back-ordered items are received.
- Handle customer complaints reasonably, showing empathy and a positive attitude, and demonstrate our commitment to “Make Things Right”.
- Use standard greeting for all incoming telephone calls.
- Inform all customers of in-store promotions and notify of upcoming events.
2. Retail Sales of Parts and Accessories
- Adhere to, and strictly enforce, Harley-Davidson Motor Company Non-Retail Sales Policy (will be provided at time of hired).
- Provide prompt and accurate service at cash register.
- Assist Parts Manager / Team Leader with reaching retail sales goals in Parts and Accessories.
- Participate in periodic physical inventory of all parts (counts, reports, etc.).
- Assist with set-up, organization and staging of special events.
- Create well organized presentations which appeal to our customers.
- Ensure parts displays are stocked, clean, dust free, and appealing to our customers.
- Continuously maintain showroom product availability by stocking shelves and displays.
- Maintain updated customer mailing lists. Contact previous customer by email or phone to invite them back to the dealership.
- Attend P&A meetings to keep current with merchandising and inventory control issues.
3. Cashier Functions
- Ensure all transactions are completed promptly while checking for accuracy.
- Process all paperwork and maintain organization of all media.
- Receive payments for products and services rendered. Authorize all credit card and check payments. Returns receipt and change to customer.
- Provide accurate “End of Day” reconciliation to accounting by following closing procedures correctly.
4. Other Duties

Qualifications & Job Requirements:
- Friendly, outgoing personality; must have ability to get along with broad customer base.
- Schooling or experience in motorcycles and retail sales.
- Experience with Reynolds and Reynolds & computerized Parts, Service and inventory systems and general computer knowledge or the ability to quickly learn.
Physical Demands:
- Must have the ability to stand and walk the sales floor for most of the day.
- Frequently required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift 50 lb. of merchandise.
Working Conditions:
- Majority of work is conducted indoors; however, some outdoor booth sales are conducted periodically during open houses or other events.
