Job Description : Production Kitchen Cook AssistantCompany : American SpoonLocation : Preservation Kitchen, 1668 Clarion Ave, Petoskey, Michigan American Spoon has immediate openings in our Production Kitchen for the position of Cook Assistant.
Job Details : Start Date : ImmediateWork Schedule : Monday-Thursday, 7 : 30 am-5 : 00 pm, hours vary seasonally Responsibilities : Assist lead cooks in producing our award-winning jams, jellies, condiments, and preserves.
Perform various tasks throughout the production kitchen, including seasonal fruit processing, dishwashing, and prep work.
Minimum Qualifications : High School Diploma or equivalent.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs several times a day and stand for long periods.
Capability to work in a fast-paced environment for periods up to four hours without stopping.Proficiency in basic math.Knowledge of food preparation and / or food safety is preferred but not required;
we will train the right person.Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus.One year of consecutive work experience is preferred.
